Eclipse
Longevity
Days

Spain hasn't seen a total solar eclipse since 1905. On 12 August 2026, totality crosses Sóller at sunset over the Mediterranean. Four days built around that moment — and the Perseids shower the night after.

Once in a generation.
Literally.

The numbers are not marketing. They are astronomy. There is no version of this that happens again in most people's lifetimes at this location. Data sourced from the Instituto Geográfico Nacional — Visualizador de Eclipses 2026 ↗.

1905

Last total eclipse over Spain

121 years between the previous and this one. The next total eclipse visible from this region of Spain is projected for 2061.

96s

Duration of totality in Sóller

1 minute and 36 seconds of complete darkness over the Mediterranean. Sun at 2.5° above the horizon — totality at sunset over open sea.

2.5°

Sun altitude at totality

The lowest possible sun for a total eclipse — meaning the western horizon must be completely clear. Sóller's coastal cliffs and ridgelines provide exactly that.

RUEDA across
four days of sky

Not an eclipse tour. Not a wellness holiday with a good view. Four days structured by the same RUEDA methodology as the Spring Immersion — with the eclipse as the biological marker at its centre.

Arrival

Recharge

Arrival at the house or finca. First walk in the valley. No agenda — the body needs time to leave where it came from. The Tramuntana does the initial work.

Preparation

Unlock · Empower

Conversation opens. We identify what brought each person here, what is working, and what the following 48 hours can be used for. The eclipse day is prepared intentionally — not as spectacle, but as threshold.

Eclipse · Discover

The day the programme is built around. Morning quiet, afternoon preparation, private viewing at Port Cliff rooftop or elevated finca position. 96 seconds of totality. The Perseids begin after midnight — the valley, the sky, and whatever surfaces.

What the previous three days surfaced is grounded into specific, transferable commitments. Two exercises on the landscape. Departure with something that will not dissolve on the flight home.

August 12, 2026 —
the sequence

The partial phases begin early. Totality is brief. The programme treats the full sequence — not just the 96 seconds — as a structured experience of interruption, darkness, and return.

18:00

Arrival at viewing position. Welcome and settling.

18:45

Orientation and eclipse safety briefing (ISO glasses provided).

19:38

Partial phase begins. The moon begins crossing the sun over the Mediterranean.

20:31

Maximum eclipse. Almost complete occlusion.

20:32

Totality — 1m 36s. Complete darkness. Stars visible. Corona. The Mediterranean below. Nothing like it.

20:49

Partial phase ends. Unhurried time — the evening continues at its own pace.

After midnight

Perseids shower. Peak night — up to 100 meteors per hour from the Tramuntana darkness. The second sky event of the 4 days.

Times confirmed for Sóller (39.77°N, 2.72°E) via the official Instituto Geográfico Nacional · Visualizador de Eclipses 2026 ↗

The Perseids —
not a coincidence

The Perseids meteor shower peaks each year around 12–13 August — the same night as the eclipse. Up to 100 meteors per hour under a dark sky. The Serra de Tramuntana, far from urban light pollution, is one of the best positions in the western Mediterranean to observe them.

The eclipse ends at sunset. The Perseids begin after midnight. The programme is designed to hold both — the day event and the night event — as a continuous arc rather than two separate moments.

Two sky events in 24 hours. In the same valley. In the same four days.
